DK Teacher Bio

For my Drama Kids job my boss made a news letter for the parents that gave some bio-style info of the teachers. This is the bio I gave:

Miss Maggie is an International Theatre Director, Equity Stage Manager and Drama Teacher. Much of her recent work, theatrically speaking, has been with kids of all ages. She spent this past summer out on the West Coast working as a Drama Teacher with Stone Soup Theatre in Seattle, WA as well as directing “Disney’s Aristocrats Kids” and “Into The Woods Jr.” (and teaching) kids in Bremerton, WA who were taking part in a two week summer camp. In the Capital District area, along with her fabulous Drama Kids Teaching position, she has directed the past two shows at Greenville Middle School, “Peter Pan and Wendy” and “The Wizard of Oz”, and is gearing up for this years production of “Circus Olympus”. And has also had the good fortune to stage manage a tour - going into schools in the Capital District - of “Pure Poe” with Capital Repertory Theatre’s ‘On The Go’ series. Miss Maggie has spent the past fourteen years working in, and studying, theatre around the world. Her skills and training have taken her to Bali, Scotland, Austria, Russia, England, Romania and to several U.S. States. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from SUNY New Paltz, and an MFA in Theatre Directing from the University of Essex in London.

The day after the newsletter went out I was in one of my Thursday night classes and one of the Mom's gave me a nice compliment regarding my bio. She said she hadn't realized all the stuff I'd done etc...and thought it was really great! :) That's nice.
