Dotay (strike that, reverse it...)
And Drama Kids classes...rough, some days are just rough. Haha. :o)
And that is all.
If I'd made it shorter it could've been a Haiku.
WAM, pre-tech work stuff
Drama Kids...some days are rough.
That's the end my friend.
:o)
Yesterday.
Yesterday:
WAM work - the two week festival is literally around the corner, we actually have our Load In at the Pittsfield, MA site on Friday (this Friday)! And there's a lot of paper work / emails and such going on right now. Tech begins on, well technically Friday as we're loading in that space, but the actual tech'ing really begins on Monday the 2nd of May. Woo hoo!
I also had three Drama Kid classes yesterday for which I had some prep'ing to take care of and then the classes to run. It was such a glorious day out yesterday it was hard to get into the car and drive to work, LOL. Not to mention what beautiful sunny days do to kids in a classroom, haha! It also means sweet things like this one student who skipped into class with a daffodil wrapped in a wet paper towel and tin foil for me. :o)
Anyhoo...that's about all that occurred yesterday...aside from the morning fridge repair.
And that is all, for the moment.

Today.
Then I had a meeting for WAM up at the venue we're using in Troy, lighting and a few other bits.
I also made a phone call regarding my summer "Oliver!" gig (that counts as work).
And shortly I have to go pick up my Dad at the train station.
So, tomorrow I will work more on applying for jobs ...

Holy Moly I'm Behind!!!
Life has been rather hectic as of late ... last weekend was my father's 60th birthday and me and the fam went to Philly to eat our faces off (mission totally accomplished) ... and this past week I was teaching a full day "Spring Break" Drama Kids Camp which leaves me TOTALLY exhausted in the evenings. Seriously folks, I fell asleep almost every night by 9pm (and one night it was like 8:15pm, phew, little kids are exhausting)! And I spent some time this week doing some work for WAM's upcoming "O Solo Festival", which really begins next week ... load in's and such ... so, I've not just been sitting around on me bum or nuffink!
But I digress ...
I've been offered to stay on board with Drama Kids next year, and potentially have more classes (woo hoo, more money, LOL)! So while I didn't apply for it, it counts! ;o)
And that is all ... for the moment. It's Easter tomorrow, so I'll start being a good girl with this here blog again come Monday!

Nyet.
In true Sunday fashion, I did nothing that deals with job hunting (our we noticing a theme here, one opposite to my initial intentions for this blog?).
Today I went to a family Bridal Shower.
And that is all.
April 10th and only 5 entries this month ... sigh ... 365 days of me??? Ha!

The past few days...
Over the past week I've spent quite a lot of time working on the WAM O Solo Festival that I am stage managing. I worked Tuesday - Thursday for Drama Kids (some days with 3 classes). And on Wednesday I chaperoned the local HS's Drama Club field trip to see a college production of "Cabaret". Oh, and last night I went to see another fairly local HS's production of "Oliver!" This was mostly because I'm directing "Oliver!" this summer with kids and partly because I went with a friend. :o)
And I've read some, sure, I love to read.
And I've been working on a few different things that I'm trying to write.
Oh, and I spent a few hours on phone calls catching up with two of my best friends, one who's in London and one who's in Seattle. Sigh...I miss the days when they were "just around the corner" and we could go out to the pub to hang out/catch up.
But I digress. Right now I'm working on a book ... writing it not reading it, though the one I'm reading isn't that far from my fingers.
:o) And that is all for now.

Today's Post (what an incredible title, no?!?)
Tomorrow I'm going to see Albany Universities production of "Cabaret" with the local HS (I love chaperoning theatre gigs), and teaching another three drama kid classes.
Thursday I have some summer "Oliver!" stuff to take care of with the Good Cause Club and teach two Drama Kid classes ... and somewhere in these hours I'm GOING TO FIND SOME TIME to send out a few more applications!
And now, back to working on my teaching philosophy (I know, I know, it should be done by now!!!)!

"Dear Margaret,
Thank you for your submission for the Equity Stage Manager positions within our 2011/2012 season. We will be in contact as opportunities become available.
Best, (Name)"
*This one looks fairly promising! :o) Fingers crossed ... it's for an application I put out that I don't think I listed on here for an AEA SM job at a theatre in RI ... So I double checked and I did list it on here when I sent the application, at any rate this is the response.

Email Response #2 - a NO
"Thank you, so much, for taking the time to apply for the Company Manager position with (Name) Theatre Festival. At this time, we have filled the position with another candidate. There were quite a few experienced applicants this year, so making decisions was tough. Your interest in (Name) and the effort spent applying is sincerely appreciated. I wish you the best of luck in your search for summer employment.
Warm regards,
General Manager"
