ok, 1) be true to yourself - otherwise it wont resonate.
ReplyDelete2) be careful what you wish for!
I was excited when people started reading my blog, but now I get feedback on stuff I really just write for me, and I feel like saying "Oy! If you dont like it, go away!"
Hahaha...too true, I didn't think about that aspect of feedback...LOL! Still, I would love it if more than 5 people were reading this ... don't know why ... haha!

Gimmick Ideas;
ReplyDelete1. Post headlines should be the title of a movie/book/album, somehow relevant to the post. Maybe too much work for you?
2. Every third ordway is in igpay latin.
3. Weekly trivia: link the blog to your FB account and post a question about the weeks' entries at a given time. First to correctly answer wins! What, I'm not sure, but WINNER!
4. Weekly Q&A
5. Friday's entry written from your Blackberry while sauced on some new cocktail you just invented. Followed by a review of said cocktail, and a description of how to make it. You could start by borrowing my "Snarling Whippet" cocktail...easy, inexpensive and damned good.
6. Do a "Dear Maggie" column once a week. Though, again, this requires a following to really get going. And I really don't want to know which of our cousins has chlamydia.
OK, I'm spent
Interesting idears Mike ... and oddly, I almost wrote my last posts title in inpay atinlay (great minds and all that)!
ReplyDeleteI like them all, but I especially like #5 ...
I'll ponder them all and figure out which one to apply to the month of May and see how it goes. Right now I'm leaning towards #2 or #5 ... any thoughts from the others in this peanut gallery?
